Selling advice please

Post by drsb » Sun Oct 02, 2022 5:10 pm

Hi all - change of circumstance means I need to make some choices, and I have decided to sell my RS6. I am looking for a reasonable price within a reasonable timeframe - so wish to avoid trading in but can't afford to hang around for ages. What would people recommend? AutoTrader, or Piston Heads, or something completely different?

In case it makes a difference, she is Mugello Blue, has done 122,000 miles, and all but two of the service stamps (the bloomin second owner) are Audi Main Dealership. Other word has been done by MRC and by AutoStore. She has had a front end respray and GB oil change recently, and new prop shaft bearing in the summer. She has loads of features, but I don't know which are extras and which are standard (can anyone help with this).

Any advice gratefully received, and thank you in advance.

Douglas.

Hi Douglas,

If you have your service book then inside the front page (somewhere) should be Sticker with a whole host of 3 digit "words" like L4D - GZT - HU8....etc which are codes for the various equipment fitted specifically to your car.

If you type those into this website - http://prsearch.planetvag.com/ - it will give you a break down of what each code is and therefore what equipment you have. Once you have a list for your car you can compare that to a list of standard equipment either in the RS6 Variants sticky post at the top of this forum, or alternatively they can be found in the brochure which can be found as a series of images here - https://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/1342 ... t-Brochure

I've taken those images created by Erik over on RS6.com and remade them into a PDF of the C6 RS6 Brochure in the attachment below.

I've made a spreadsheet of all VAG options and you can filter them down to the codes you have; if you dont have the manual as Ian suggests you will find the code Sticker in the boot in the spare wheel section (stuck on back vertical edge normally). If you PM me your email I will send you the spreadsheet.
