Hello everyone!
I'm new on the forum and look forward to experience all the nolage here.
I bought my first rs 6 plus last spring and it is a fantastic car. I was pretty quick to uppgrade to stage 1, with Bmc filters and a Milltec. The car runs great but have some unsolved issues and therefore I have som questions:

1: Very seldom, only at coldstart, there is a blurring/studdering from the engine some sec. after start, only lasting for a few sec. The strange thing is that the engine starts ok and sounds good, and a few sec later changes sound to higher and darker. At the same time it starts to smoke like hell, and the blurring appears.
But very seldom and nerver warm.

2. The tachomeeter is compleatly dead sometimes, only after start. Never dies during ride.

No codes detected according theese problems.

Can theese problems has anything to do with the uppgrade?
Or the bad battery i've driven around with all summer,
that is going to be changed.

At last:
4. The plus version have a sport plus suspension.
Is there someone out there that know what this really means.
I've looked like crazy without success.

Hi Robban, welcome to the forum!

I will try to answer the questions for you -

1. Not sure, maybe the G28 mentioned below?

2. Possibly the G28 sensor (engine crank position sensor) is starting to fail as the G28 is the engine tacho sensor and also tells the ECU the engine speed (rpm) too.

3. The "Sport Plus" option gives you 3 different DRC settings which you can change via MMi screen - Comfort, Dynamic & Sport - Comfort is the softest setting, Sport is the hardest and Dynamic is in the middle. In the UK all cars get Sports Plus as standard but in Europe it was a option to could buy separately or not buy.

Shouldn't a bad sensor generate an error code?
(don't have any)

Don't you think this can be due to a bad battery?
The strangest error codes can appear when having a bad battery.

Ok, I also have the suspension plus. But I red somewhere that this feature also is 1 cm lower. Do you know anything about this?

Hi Robban,

Yes a bad battery can cause lots of strange problems!

DRC - Audi's documents say nothing about the Sports Suspension Plus being a different height so I would suspect it's the same height as normal DRC but with the extra "3 settings" is added.

Audi RS6 Study Guide page 35 wrote:The optional sports suspension plus is based on the DRC suspension, but additionally features a three stage adjustable shock absorber rate. The three shock-absorber firmness settings –"comfort", "dynamic", "sport" – can be selected by the driver via the MMI
