Well, with a set of new injectors and an adjustment of the oil level I had around 6 weeks of almost smoke-free driving so was starting to feel pleased. Too soon I think. Friday evening the car's slow starting became a non-start first time at first attempt. On second attempt it did start - along with a cloud of blue/white smoke from both pipes which cleared quickly. Out and about, no more smoke and it started ok. Then I got home, locked the car and as I walked away it unlocked. Tried again - same thing. And again. Locked it with the fob and it unlocked again - at that point I noticed the fob led pulsing.
Opened and closed the doors that I'd used, made certain that the bonnet and tailgate were closed, locked the car and that time it stayed locked.
Used the car last night - Beep! 'Oil level sensor defective'.
If it's not one thing, it's another.
Odd...
