DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
I'm considering coilovers for my C6 RS6. the DRC just doesn't have a nice setting. Comfort it too soft and dynamic too hard. Plus I like the ability to set the ride height exactly where I want it.
Can anyone confirm or deny that The whole DRC system including the menu in the MMI can be turned off with Audi software?

Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
I had to use VAG-COM, I think you can turn off the damping selector in the MMI via the ‘hidden menu’ but that would still leave the suspension warning light on the dash.
Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
You can't make the car believe it isn't fitted then?
Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
Sorry, I read the question as ‘without vag-com etc’…
Using vag-com you can completely code out the DRC and the variable damping, so no MMI menu and no light on the dash.
I have removed the controller entirely from the car and it’s quite happy

Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
Excellent. Was it fairly simple or does it involve anything complicated? I've not used Vag Com before but have used BMWs equivalent etc.
Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
It’s far easier than ediabas or inpa!
From memory I don’t think too much coding was involved, you definitely have to remove the control unit from the list of installed modules in the can-gateway:

I have some notes around coding changes but it doesn’t look like I had to do any. Once the module is coded out of the gateway you can either remove the module (behind the glovebox) or pull the fuses as otherwise it’ll generate a (harmless) error code about being unregistered.

Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
Excellent thanks. This may make my move to coilovers much easier.

Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
Anyone have more information on how exactly to code out the DRC and which fuse needs pulling?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
For future reference, coded the DRC out (unchecked the elec suspension options using Vagcom) and removed 2 fuses on the passenger's side near the door. No lights on the dash
Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
If you buy KW's there is an option to add DRC defeat electronic box....
Re: DRC coding out with VAG com etc???
Can you tell me what coding removes the drc and which specific fuses need to be removed?
