Hi all,
I've been trying to figure out whether my car has D2S or D3S bulb size, as i'm going to get the osram xenarc night breakers.
I've read various posts & also both come up in different fitment guides for my car...
My car is a c6 2010 plus saloon model, which i believe is a facelift, which may mean mine are D3S size, can anyone confirm?
I note a few folk have fitted D2S's, but i'm not sure on the year of these cars & whether that's a factor, or whether all C6 models require the D2S size.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Roy

Re: Osram xenarc night breaker DS2 or DS3?
As far as I know, all C6 RS6 with factory discharge lights take D2S lamps. The obvious difference between D2S and D3S is that D2 has a separate igniter - they both fit in the same holders (or should do). Less obvious is that the D3 lamp is mercury free and arcs on 42VAC whereas the D2 contains the metal and arcs on 85VAC.

Thanks for that, some interesting bits of info there.
