Aftermarket rear lights - different style to OEM
Aftermarket rear lights - different style to OEM
Anyone found any good aftermarket rear lights? I was looking for something to replace the slightly crazed inner rear lights and thought I'd see if there were any fresher designs. I found these . . . Which are a different style all together and more modern.

and was wondering if anyone had any dealings with them or knew of the quality. They aren't particularly cheap by any means so I'm thinking they might be ok.

Do the new lights have the same connectors as the old lights?

Re: Aftermarket rear lights
I've just fitted all new facelift rear lights to my avant (the inner ones where crazed) from autodoc.
Only £368 for valeo items, and the connectors were the same.

Re: Aftermarket rear lights
I always wonder why the inner ones fade over time (and not outer or both at the same time)?
And it mainly affects estate C6's (and not saloons).

I'd love to know why too!
I've got a C6 Allroad and a C6 RS6 so I've got to replace 4 at some point!

Re: Aftermarket rear lights
The fading is actually an optical effect from a myriad of micro cracks in the clear layer over the coloured part of the lens. I tried polishing my inners which lasted a couple of months - I then did it again and put a light smoke wrap on them. They didn't appear to fade after that but at night the micro cracking on the interior face was really visible. In the end I used it as an excuse to fit face lift lights when ECP were running one of their big discounts.
Re: Aftermarket rear lights
It is strange that only the inners fade. I was going to just replace them but then I started looking for other options. It's a shame that they didn't face-lift the shape of the rear lights on the Avant as I feel they date the car quite a lot. The ones in the link aren't particularly cheap at around £400 for a set. But I'm not sure if they will be a direct fit, include fog lights, not throw errors etc.
They also do headlights which incorporate the indicators into the daytime running light with the dynamic sweep. Again these might be left hand drive so that could be an issue.

Do it. I have them on mine and they’re awesome. Easy to fit as they “bolt on”

Yes really. I was actually meaning the front ones mentioned earlier from same supplier. But the rear could be different spec depending on market. Fog lights, etc. Thanks for your helpful pedantry though.Ranger4130 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 11:16 pmReally?Doug_RS6 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 1:54 pmAre they suitable for left and right hand drive?Ranger4130 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 11:08 pm

I haven’t got the front ones only the rears which are a great improvement over the stock items and come recommended.
