NS2r tyres - anyone running them?
Anyone running Nankang NSR2 tyres? How do you find them in damp conditions?
Re: NS2r tyres - anyone running them?
I was going to fit them on my Yaris #club1000 car - It looked like they would give decent blend of some water scrubbing, not as sticky as AR1 but better than most regular road choices. I hadn’t thought of fitting them to a C6 tbh, I was planning on going for Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric like I did on my C5 where they were very good all around and predictable in all conditions.

Re: NS2r tyres - anyone running them?
I've driven my mates E36 M3 trackcar with these fitted down at Brands and, for the morning session when it was cold (<10'c) and the track was slightly dewy, they were very "slimey" feeling if pushed even a tiny bit and felt much worse than even a MPS4S style road tyre but, as the day warmed up and the track dried, holy hell were they fantastic.
On a "road" car like the RS6 for everyday driving, I'd hate to say TBH. I mean if you drive it like an A6 when it's cold/damp/wet then I'm sure they'd be fine but I don't know if the benefits when hot outweigh the negatives. Plus I've no idea what the tyre life is like!
"slimey" - Not slippery like driving on ice but it felt like the tyres were coated with slime or grease, something you could even feel at standstill when going lock to lock, such an odd feeling.

Re: NS2r tyres - anyone running them?
To be honest unless I'm out for a drive to have fun then the car doesn't get pushed. However I'm not keen on the feeling you describe. I reckon that could make getting caught in heavy rain quite unpleasant.
Re: NS2r tyres - anyone running them?
Exactly- this is why I felt a proven all weather (summer) road tyre would be my choice still.
