The information I have is as follows.
Mapped and running in the 700bhp range
Gearbox mapped
It has BMC air filters
Miltek cat back exhaust

It was mapped by JR tuning in Kent from what I've been told. I've contacted them but they weren't that forthcoming with information.

Secondary cat removal will also not display an engine management light, I ran my 3" downpipe back system for several months before being able to get it mapped with no issues

Did you still have the diagnostic lambda sensors fitted and connected?

EDIT: By diagnostic sensors, I mean the second pair of sensors that sit downstream of where the secondary cats would have been (and which are used to monitor the performance of the control sensors, which are between the primary and secondary cats?

Me? If so then yes. Sensors are still in place.

As a mapper I've no idea how good/bad they are, but back in 2016 when I first dealt with them as my closest Audi "tuner" the company were absolute scam artists and there's loads of awful reviews from that time range all saying similar but maybe they've changed in the past 4 years?

My only concern with their mapping has to do with amount of times they say "we create bespoke maps" but for virtually every car in the world, which sounds more like they bought a pack of map files and "tweaked" them so they can call them "bespoke" but that doesn't mean the map is good or bad.

My personal preference would be to let MRC check the map out at some point once you've had the cats removed but I've no idea how difficult that would be for you (travel etc).

MRC are miles from me unfortunately as I'm in Edinburgh. There aren't many specialists up this way, to be honest I don't really know of any particularly good tuners up this way.

I had a quick google of JR tuning and did find a couple of negative experiences from a few years ago. It seems to be the same 2 people's experiences being posted on various forums. Most of there other reviews seem quite good. The owner responded this morning to me with the info they have which is a little limited. Has offered a good deal on a byte flash stage 2 upgrade which from what I gather is similar to blue fin etc. Not necessarily bespoke mapping rather a generic map which is obviously not as good. It is considerably less expensive though. Not that cost is the only consideration.

Have a look, not saying good or bad or even if they're affiliated to MRC Banbury (logo looks the same & "MRC Tuning in collaboration with DHAutomotive") but nearer to you.

Yeah I think to be honest they were the ones I spoke to who were crazy expensive. If I remember right he quoted me a little over 2 grand for a basic map. Then got in touch to say he had quoted me wrong (oh it must be cheaper I thought) wrong, apparently it was going to be more but I wasnt told how much I got the impression from the conversation it was a significant amount though.

Thank you for the link though and I believe they do have a good name for themselves. Hence the prices perhaps.

Have you considered CM Tuning in Leeds? They use MRC maps and costs £1600 for the stage 2 and gearbox map.
I have my stage 2 bits and bobs done now. Just need to book it in.

Secondary decats fitted yesterday. £200 for both pipes fabricated and fitted. Stainless pipe and the same diameter as standard.

No issues with EML yet but planning on a stage 2 map anyway.

Done mine a few weeks back along with rear silencer deletes. Great modification. Just left the 2 small centre silencers and the front cats on the downpipe. Sounds amazing!

And yes you’ll need some O2 sensor bosses welding into the pipe if your going for the cut and weld option
