Chugging when idling

Hi,

Not used the car much given recent events. Was sat in a long queue (not moving) and after a bit the car started to chug and was about to cut out, bit of a rev sorted it for a bit, but wasn’t right. Any suggestions or a good run out should sort it?

Mine does the same sometimes and it's been suggested to me that it might be due to carbon buildup on the intake valves
