Hi all,

Can anyone confirm the noise of a idling V10 in the video is normal?

I know from my B7 the direct injection sounds very "diesely" but this sounds louder.

Sounds tad excessive to me. I’d suggest to check the oil level and when was it last serviced first.

Mine sounds about like that. In my other thread here somewhere I was told it's more or less normal.



I stuck the camera right into the engine though so it's a bit louder than it should be (you wouldn't stick your ear into it so deep).

Sounds like mine. The clicking noise is better, if the oil level is close to max (official recommendation is 5mm below max).
