Valved Exhaust Switch

Hi All
Those of you out there with valved exhausts, how are they controlled? I've seen some references to a window blind switch and another on boost pressure.
I like the stock exhaust but I wouldn't mind tinkering with it in the future. I would like it to be a bit more brutal at full chat but still cruise-able. I was thinking maybe a secondary cat delete and exhaust cut-outs.
My thought was a pair of cut-outs, just before the back boxes. I know space is tight, so maybe with just a couple of short turn downs to point the gas down and back. As for control, I know mechanical, boost controlled cutouts are available cheaply but my preference would be electrically controlled units that operate whenever the gear selector is in sport. Has anyone used this as a signal before?
