VCDS coding: battery meter

Post by c3nturi0n » Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:18 pm

hiya,

i tried to engage on some VCDSmatters recently to no / very limited success  .

I followed couple tutorials on YT to get needle sweep and battery monitor enabled but haven't been able to get to desired outcome.

Needle gauge/sweep seems like a fairly straight fwd thing to accomplish via VCDS and when coded it does not do anything. Au contraire, i tried to enable battery monitor via VCDS and / or manually (through Car + Setup hidden menu) but, again, to no avail.

Had anyone of you had any success in doing any of the above?

Cheers

I think I saw somewhere that only the 3G MMI can have the hidden menu function enabled and thus the needle sweep and battery are unavailable for 2G

Could be mistaken though, and I'll be happily corrected as I would like to enable a few of them myself via VCDS too

I’ve got battery enabled on my 2g high. Needle sweep can’t be done on the earlier cars though unfortunately.
