Hi

I've got a really annoying dash rattle coming from the driver's side somewhere and it's driving me nuts!.. I can't pinpoint it so would be grateful for any pointers.

Anyone come across this before.. https://www.techtips.ie/Autodata/audi-a ... ascia.html

Thanks

I doubt that's the problem as the starter stuff runs from the box on the RH side of the heater plenum on the V10. However, the box has a clipped condenser which might be floating around. Similarly, there could be something in the plenum or even in the box section where the coolant pipes and steering rack are - I pulled a load of gravel out of there when I replaced the pipes. If the noise is low down (sort of knee level) then there could be something rattling on the dash undertray - I had a similar annoying rattle from the left side of my dash, checked all sorts, glove box latch and hinges, all the stuff for the CD changer and found nothing until I removed the glove box and found a cable for an aftermarket tracker which was touching the box trim.
Getting to the plenum terminal box isn't easy, you have to remove the wiper arms and both plastic covers - the main cover is simple but the one at the base of the screen can be a real pain, mine took me most of a morning to shift.

You can gain access without removing the one at the bottom of the screen, just a tad trickier this way
