Memory Seat with easy entrance???

Post by Fatneck73 » Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:56 pm

My C6 has elec memory seats (I guess all do?) but today, each time I unlocked the car, the seat moved all the way back before I sat in!

Never done this before. Any ideas what I’ve done to make it do this??

A few questions -

Are you using a different Fob? - Each fob can store a unique seat location.
Have you got a different seat "save point" (1 or 2) lit up in the drivers door? i.e. normal seat position saved at 1 but position 2 button selected etc.
Have you reset the seat position to what you want and then saved it again to position 1 and 2?

Sometimes my car has a fit and sets the steering wheel to a random position. I only use one fob and both memory settings are identical. Sometimes I've found the memory button has been switched to 'off', maybe I've caught it by accident when opening the door but other times there's been nothing obvious. I've never been able to trace the cause of what appears to be a randon reset of the dash display either - I like it set to speed but sometimes it comes up with fuel range - mostly this seems to happen when I've used a Tesco petrol station, whether there's a connection I can't say but their loop hearing aid did at one time have a reputation for blocking anti-theft devices.
