Probably not much help, but the 4 plug setup uses 2 different size seals. Can't remember if the combination is 1 & 3 or two of each.

Would it matter that much if seals weren't changed? Does anyone know the part numbers?

If they're a flat washer they can often be reused - once. I certainly wouldn't try it with the hollow crush washer type. From what I remember, they aren't over expensive from Audi but then I buy sealing washers in packs of 10 so that I usually have spares - for my current turbo rebuild saga I've only had to buy washers for the ps pump connector, all the rest I already had from other projects.
The standard VAG advice now seems to be that both the washers AND the plugs should be replaced at each oil change. Yeah, right - I'll keep that in mind, I don't think.
I've got an invoice somewhere with the part numbers I'll see if I can dig it out.
