Anyway, when it went back to MRC for a map tweak I never got a dyno sheet, they where more busy with invoicing the cost of an oil leak on their dyno. Only thing I got out of them was «it’s fine», after that silent treatment.
Yeah sadly that sounds about right for MRC over the past few years. I mean their "customer service" when something isn't right after they've worked on a car has always been an extremely low priority, and their "mechanical" work has always been adequate at best (compared to other specialists) but it was their mapping (something they were always extremely good at) which kept people coming back for more because that very rarely went wrong.
I think they have now pretty much swapped over to the RS3 fanbase now as I very rarely see anything other than those on their FB pages.

That’s a shame to hear those experiences. I am currently using REPerformance for my build, great guy and fantastic service.
As for mapping I will be using another independent for software and see if MRCs results can be replicated. (Not knocking them)
My spec will be similar to other 900-1k power cars on here so I have a good benchmark. This is;
TTE1000
Wagner intercoolers
Porsche injectors
Colder spark plugs
RePerformance Gearbox
Aquamist Hfs
Custom 3.5” downpipes
Milltek Res Exhaust.
Unfortunately due to this virus nothing will happen quickly. However looking forward to the final results.

C6Dia,
Just wondering, how are you getting on with your upgrade, have you managed to get everything complete & dyno'd yet? Really interested to see how your getting on with the TTE1000's + Wagner IC combo?
Cheers

It’s all coming together, hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
The car is currently with Peron having some custom 3.5” downpipes made.
A small production run of around 5 sets will follow and be for sale as mine will be used for development.
A great opportunity for those who want to go hybrid turbo in the future.
Once completed, back to Ricky for some final checks and then off to my tuner for mapping.
I am not chasing crazy HP but with this setup 9xx hp on pump should be easy.

Those new bearings look very nice in the FB post. From the eBay advert the spec gives fairly minimal technical info, just the usual "it's uprated" etc but with no flow measurements etc to judge how good it'll be -
The OEM IHI 07L145701J & 07L145702J turbochargers have been optimized with the following changes:
- milled Extended Tip compressor wheel with the latest compressor geometry
- gap optimized by CNC-turned compressor housing and exhaust housing
- reinforced ceramic ball bearing
- 9-blade performance turbine
- fine balanced up to 0.05g

JD Engineering tuned an RS6 stage 3 TTE1000 to 973 bhp / 1065 Nm.
I presume the boost was held back to work with a stock gearbox.
There are quite a few stage 2 cars with stock turbos and 'boxes that make that kind of torque.

Do you have any further info on this car, as it seems this set up would be similar to what i'm planning. Look at where the power & torque lines cross...
Seems a lot of power to have using the stock GB, so it would be good to find out more about this car & whether the GB held up okay.
If i dial my set up back to 850hp, i'll probably do a dyno run to try & hit 900+hp just for the fun of it...then dial it back, so maybe this is also what they did & the final set up for the road, in terms of hp was a bit lower.
Anyway...as i said...it would be good to find out more.
Does anyone know the owner?
Cheers
Roy
I found some pictures of the exhaust system. Apart from the X-over it looks really good.

Hows your build going? Once I have finished firefighting oil leaks and pipes mine is off to Ricky also and practically identical to yours except 3" peron downpipes linked up to 3" kwe cat back exhaust as wanted to drop the x pipe part.

Reviving this one as I'm mulling over whether to do turbos when I eventually have to drop the engine on mine and have a couple Q's
What supporting mods are required for TTE1000's? I see intercoolers and exhausts mentioned but not so much on fuel pumps and injectors?
Seems the common failure on the standard box is a double kick down snapping shafts. Does anyone now if it's possible to edit out this behaviour in a trans tune? I think upgrading the box as well would be out of reach (is anyone able to say what it costs?). I would likely just have the tuner take it to whatever the generally accepted safe torque limit is and try hold it there.
Thanks

There seems to be a pattern of behaviour where the box holds up to 1100 Nm OK, but if you go to 1200 Nm things start going wrong.

Cool, thanks. Are the stock pumps and injectors up to delivering 1000hp? I'd be pleasantly surprised if they are.

There are low pressure and high pressure pumps, and I'm fairly sure you would need to upgrade the former. Many people will tell you that either the injectors or the HP pumps also need to be upgraded, but I have a suspicion they're pulling the wool over people's eyes and taking advantage of the confusion between direct and indirect injection. Problem is it's difficult for punters to find out on their own. Not something you want to take a risk on, though. Last thing you want is an engine going lean at 1000 hp.

Indeed, assuming the feed pumps are accessible, they should be easy and cheap enough to upgrade. HP pumps not so much. I believe it was about £450 for one pump when I looked for an S3.

I think at heart they're all based on the Autotech kit.
