Help sourcing 2-Piece Rotors - Caliper setup and offsets

Hey Guys this is my first post, this may have been asked previously, if so apologies.... My name is Peter and I live in Lake Tahoe Nevada, US

We are not gifted here in the states with the turbo v10, I had to instead purchase the NA version; C6 S6

I am turning this car into my audi club track car, I purchased a set of C6 RS6 front calipers and am now in the process of finding proper 2-piece discs.

Now I have seen the AP racing discs, they are going to cost me ~1500 USD a set to import. As well, I have emailed 4 vendors and am not getting much in the area of replies...

I am now looking at these FRENI (Audi RS6 C6 V10 5.0L 2008-2012 Pair of Front Discs 390x36 FRENI 2pcs 4F0615301L) discs on ebay. Does anyone have any experience with these discs?

From my research, I CAN NOT run the C7 RS7 rotor as the offset is moved 6mm out towards the wheel. Does anyone know of a bracket that allows us to run the more readily available c7 discs?

It would be very easy for me to source c7 rs7 parts here in the states. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Haven't heard of the Freni Discs, but did you try the two AP Racing vendors in the states??

Ended up communicating with Clark Motorsports in the UK. Some folks here purchased them from Ewen there...

Used Clark quite a few times for AP Racing bits, always nice to chat to them!

Just a quick fitment check, yes the R caliper is on the L ;)

I want to give a shout out to Ewen at Clark, absolutely excellent customer service, prompt replies and communication. I reached out to 5 different vendors, 2 of which are here in the states to get sloppy or poor responses. Ewen took my request, payment, and I received the discs in 5 days to Reno NV!

Still waiting for the caliper fixings and pads but then these should be ready to bed in.

Hey, where do I source SS front lines?

Definitely agree I’ve always used Clark Motorsport for my AP Racing Dics and bells / Hub mounts with DS2500 Brake Pads

So.. After importing $2,500 bucks worth of gear, doesn't fit,... The calipers needs to move out away from the disk a fair 6mm and away from the car about the same 6mm. I made the assumption that the RS6 spindle would be the same but it appears not to be the same as my C6 S6. I do not have the RS6 PN to verify / confirm..

Anyone have any solution or insight into what I should do? Where I could have a bracket made or know of anyone who may be able to point me in the right direction?

Thank you in advance guys

The RS6 spindle only lines everything correctly when attached to a RS6 suspension leg so it won't work with your S6 so you'll have to get a custom spacer made for each side. Any good fabrication place should be able to knock you one up in a few hours quite cheaply as it'll only be a few shims needed (maybe slightly longer bolts too?) for the extra clearance.

Ok I am a happy camper!!!! Went to bed the brakes last night, cooked them nicely, and I am QUITE PLEASED with the outcome!!! This car stops like a ******* BOSS!!! I think I am going to just put the RS5 girodisc rear 330mm rotor on the rear and call it a day, no point in adding weight (and personal retrofit stress) with the RS6 356mm rears ;)

So, I ended up needing to add 8mm spacers, not 6mm. Guy at my work in the machine Shop out back cranked them out for me in 5 minutes from round bar O1 tool steel. This put the caliper exact dead center with the disc and also fixed the height issue (never was an issue). I wish I did not have to use spacers, but I paint pen'd all the bolts so I can check them in a week.. Pics below of all the work. Bolts represented are the Dodge Challenger 14x1.5x45mm bolts vs the stock audi bolts which are 38mm...

Thanks to all for your support!

Hey guys hope this forum is doing great! I bought a set of rs6 rear calipers for my v10 and now want to order the rear 356mm ap discs to match my fronts. I tried emailing Ewen at Clark a few times but did not get a response. I was wondering if someone could call over there for me and see if they are open? I hope they are not shut down due to covid. I would really appreciate it!!

I don't have info that can help you but just wanted to say I hope you can get some equal length manifolds on there. That's the one thing I'll always be a little sad about with the RS, that I'll never be able to get a V10 wail from it.

Thanks man. I finally got in touch with Ewen. Should be getting the rear discs in a couple of weeks.

Yea I know what you are saying. The sound is intoxicating as it gets. I'm currently running no mufflers and it sounds amaizing. Come August I am dropping the engine to gut the cats. This will yield me about 50whp putting me close to 530 at the crank.

By no means rs6 TT power but will suffice :)
