Number plate holder on OEM grill

Just wondering if you can remove the number plate and holder from the OEM grill and run without it? Don't worry about the legality issue. It's for a show purpose.

Couple of Torx head screws behind the number plate. Remove the screws, slide the plate holder upwards a few mm and it should come off.
