Hi. so i have a 66,000 mile MRC stage 2 tuned RS6 C6, the tuning was done at 57,000 miles and the last service including plugs and gearbox oil and filter was at 59,000 miles 12 months ago. The car has had a on road, no track day life, but does get used with the odd squirt of full throttle every now and then... I ALWAYS warm it properly and let things cool down before turning off.. it is driven sympathetically.
My question is what service interval should i have on oil, plugs, gear oil and any other items? i assume that an oil service on the engine is due soon?
they are great cars..
Service schedule, MRC stage 2
Re: Service schedule, MRC stage 2
Mine was on full Audi long life service when i bought it @76000
I changed to an annual service schedule, also MRC stage 2'd it not long after buying.
I did the gearbox service prior to stage 2'ing it for peace of mind. Def saw an improvement in "smoothness" gear changing after.
From memory MRC recommend plugs at 20000/2 years. gearbox every 20000 (might be wrong on that, check) that is for stage 2.

Re: Service schedule, MRC stage 2
i went stage 2 at 125k miles, do the gearbox every 20k and the engine oil every 5000-7500 miles as it has a tendency to get converted to porridge as its my daily driver so gets warmed up on the school run then blasted on the way to the office, every working day of the week. Only down side to this is the amount of fuel used, but a tank a week is normal and get between 150-200 miles depending on the ambient conditions
Got almost 145k on the clock now and with the stage 2 tune it does like to eat front inner cv joints, almost a pair every year otherwise it doesnt seem to munch much else.
In the past I am sure IanH has advised of a 'switch on' temperature for the MP4S tyres, and he is spot on, dont expect greatness in single digit temps!
