Sleeving the V10

Hi all,
My first post on this board. I don't own an RS yet but I'm hoping to replace my M5 E39 with a heavier but more powerful station wagon next year.
There is an RS6 C6 for sale with a sleeved engine. Other upgrades include high pressure fuel pumps, larger turbochargers, exhaust, methanol/water injection and intercoolers which, supposedly, results in 950 hp. Nothing really out of the ordinary so it makes me wonder about the sleeves. I decided to ask since I couldn't find anything on this board or anywhere else about it, related to this or at least another Audi engine. There was a brief discussion for an R8 but that's about it.
Is the TT V10 in need of sleeves to produce power < 1000 hp? It doesn't seem to be, looking at what has been built. Is there anything speaking against sleeves for this particular engine? Are there perhaps cars that I have overseen with a sleeved engine?
