hey guys,

i had two doh moments recently... one realising that i have LED lights in my mirros ... and secondly, that they do not work (both sides are OFF).

Any tips or hints what to check for? And maybe i should've asked first, is there a fuse associated with them?

ps. did VCDS scan and nothing was flagged re electrics / wing mirrors.

I recall something about this so I decided to try and find it and came across this. Unrelated but newsworthy {thanks to original poster on other forum I stole it from ]

On a more serious note, seeing how I needed to find these for the retract mirror that fails on mine anyway (a winter task)....

If youve lost both as they appear to be separate fuses it suggests disabled?
I think puddle lights are enabled on either/or instrument cluster or VCDS, I will have a nosey

I haven't been sat in my car for a few months so can't remember exactly but is there an option in the MMi under Lighting for switching these on/off?

Not in the standard MMi - well, not that I could find in mine tonight.

Let us know how you get on, I've got my wing mirror retract to look at over winter - same area

I turned on come home under Exterior Lighting... they do indeed come on now together with front fogs which is a good sign that they ‘work fine’ .

The issue that i have is that they don’t come on by default when you unclock the vehicle (unless set as per note above)?
