Bluetooth

Post by Toady1 » Tue Sep 18, 2018 2:31 pm

I can't seem to get my 2008 rs6 MMI to connect ot my phone via bluetooth. It recognises the phone, but it simply wont connect? Anyone got any ideas why? Will I need a MMI software updated disc or something? Thanks.

Yes 5570 is the latest version; there are 3 CDs in that update. I have disk images on my laptop. However it was the 5150 version that fixed blue tooth issues, you may be using pre 5150 software?

Thanks for the links, this is the software version I have... So I guess I have the latest version of the 2g then. I'll keep trying to connect it. It wouldn't connect a friends sony mobile either? Odd! I've deleted all the previous iphones etc that were in it.

It can be awkward, took me a number of attempts before my phone would pair with the car.
1 switch ignition on but do not start the car
2 press TEL on the MMI interface panel
3 Switch on bluetooth on your phone
4 select Audi RS6 from the available devices on your phone when it has finished the discovery routine - it should be Audi RS6 but if not, anything that starts 'Audi'
5 enter PIN 1234
You may have to wait a while for the systems to pair.
Don't delay much between steps 2,3 & 4 as they can be a bit urgent on the time out.

Yeap, it's the short code you type into the phone, not the huge 16 digit number. The big number is for fitting an Audi mobile phone into the arm rest.
