Best price for standard discs?

Post by Doug_RS6 » Sun Sep 09, 2018 2:47 pm

Hey folks. Noticed a lot of people saying Euro car parts online are the cheapest for standard front discs. They don't seem to list them on their website though? So what's the best price for a pair? Also can we not get just replacement rotors and reuse the bell part? Would rather not spend a grand on two brake discs if avoidable.

ECP only list discs when they have stock, which is usually just after Pagid have finished a production run. Cheapest I can find at the moment are on http://www.pwmotorsport.com.
Standard discs don't have removable bells - if you want to go that route there are a number of choices, most economical on a price/life comparison for standard size discs is probably AP.

Thank you. I take it Euro having stock is just a keep checking type situation?

Yep, though there's often a head's up on this or other forums

Excellent thanks. Don't need them yet but would rather have them ready to fit than be forced into paying full price.

That's what I did - bought mine months ago with one of their 50% discount codes and didn't fit them until last Sunday.

I've tried twice with euro car parts. Bought them online, then I've received an email saying they couldn't get them.

I've called them before purchasing, they said they can only check when a purchase has been made.

Thanks. I saw that. Good price. Not as low as Euro though. Will hold out a bit yet.

I bought a full set of pads and discs for the car while the 50% deal was on with eurocarparts.

I keep checking euro car parts but they've not been listed for some time

I paid £515 for a pair of fronts and £355 for the rears. Vat included

I did have trouble with the fronts though. My local had to keep replacing the order with central. Took a few weeks to come in

Just had a look on Euro

Pagid rears £919, there is 37% off but still 😵😵

Holy Moly, just went thru to checkout to see the discount to find that it’s £919 each!!!

Bargain £1159 for a pair with 37% discount!!!

Surely these are not right? ☝️

Current price £261.68. (original price £961.69 with 73% discount) - I suspect that's a mistake which will be corrected rather quickly.....
