Best price for standard discs?
Re: Best price for standard discs?
I second Jim, above, though £470. With matching Pagid pads @ £170, the pair.
No mods.
Re: Best price for standard discs?
Hi guys - I'm new to the forum and joined the RS family with a Black C6 back in November and it's been fun so far!
My brakes will be needing done soon so I bought a set of front and rear discs from Car Parts 4 Less for £912.54 all in. It was Pagid discs that I bought but the discs that arrived in boxes which are marked up with VNE Automotive not Pagid
Have you guys heard of them? The physically look right but don't to put any old discs on the car for obvious reasons!
Cheers

Re: Best price for standard discs?
From what I understand, VNE Automotive are a parts wholesaler (but I may be wrong on that). Pagid's catalogue number for front discs is VNE 8450 - there may or may not be a connection. Pagid are part of TMD Friction which in turn is part of Nisshinbo Group, but I can't find any connection to VNE automotive.
Re: Best price for standard discs?
I think you could be right Jim but I'm trying to get completely confirmed. I too couldn't find any connection online between VNE Automotive and Pagid/TMD/Nisshinbo
The rear discs I've got are stickered up with both Pagid (part number 65018) and VNE (part number 8460), the install guide paperwork is also marked up with TMD and Nisshinbo. The disc itself has 8460 marked on it
The front discs have just VNE Automotive Stickers on them (part number 8450) and the disc itself has 8450, I can't see anything specifically referencing Pagid. The Pagid brakebook has the front discs listed as part no 65017 (https://www.brakebook.com/bb/pagid/en_G ... heet.xhtml)
So it's looking like it's sort of tying together but it just feels odd that you buy discs specifically stated that they're Pagid and there's nothing on the box (for the fronts) or discs that says Pagid??

Re: Best price for standard discs?
I've got a brand new front set of discs for sale, bought for my car but never fitted them. £425
Re: Best price for standard discs?
Does anyone know if anyone else in Europe sells Pagid discs?
I ask because Carparts4less won’t provide a VAT form that i could use to get the VAT refunded (I’m basically taking them out of the EU in my suitcase). Wonder if any other Shop has it for a similar price anywhere?

Re: Best price for standard discs?
Just to throw in a comparison, I switched to AP Racing discs a couple of years ago, having already purchased the mounting bells, I bought a new set of dinner plates all round and pads for about £1550 inc. VAT, will find the breakdown when I get into the office and find the invoice.

AP Racing parts, I get them from a chap called Tim Philips at Circuit Supplies 01525 385888
dont forget you will also need the mounting hub in the middle! But Tim will be able to give you a price fairly quickly.

[edit] found it! info@circuitsupplies.com - let’s see what he says. Carparts4less currently has Pagids on a 18% off sale.
