Re: Rs6 rear springs
Yup. I've snapped a couple.
I need a set of rear springs if anyone has a couple floating around....
Does anyone have a part number for the C6 RS6 version?
There appear to be numerous versions....

Re: Rs6 rear springs
Both of mine are snapped, but Audi Oxford failed to even notice last week whilst it was in for a service despite doing their health check video! Useless place!!!
Got them using my reg from TPS, £260. About £300 to have them fitted too.

Re: Rs6 rear springs
Toady1 - I've walked out of that place a few times and now refuse to ever use them again after a few issues.
A - The parts man point blank refused to order the parts I wanted because "he knew better" despite telling him numerous times that my older C5 RS6 was going to be fitted with newer C6 brakes (had the callipers, just needed pads and discs) which is why I was asking for C6 parts for my C5 car. After the second 1hr long round trip I had to make to collect my brakes and finding that, yet again he'd ordered C5 parts - AGAIN - I ditched the whole idea and sold my C6 callipers to a B5 RS4 owner.
B - Spent 2hrs with their awful Sales team trying, unsuccessfully, to book a C6 test drive for the gorgeous phantom black, ceramic braked Saloon they had in. After leaving without a drive I left my details with a request they get back to me to chat more about the car and a possible part-ex with my C5 RS6. After a month I'd rang back twice and got the feeling I was being annoying to them rather than being a customer looking for a sale.
After both of those I made my vow never to set foot in the place again.
Also see Maidstone Audi Sales (C7 Test Drive I wanted) for an almost identical story!!!

Re: Rs6 rear springs
IanH755 - I will also never go back there again, technically I felt that they're absolutely useless and customer focus was terrible! Typical arrogant jumped up young <beep> of a sales/service sales 'lad' thinking he was the tits in his Audi logo'd suit! Apparently on variable service schedule they do a 'full' diagnostics, so what do they do on an annual service then? Simply drop the oil and do bugger all else???
I'm booked into Vass-tech next month for them to change the rear springs, do a full alignment and a gear box o&f change. I've read good things about them.

Re: Rs6 rear springs
I stopped using Main Audi Dealers years ago as well...
I think the final nail in the coffin was walking into Cardiff Audi and speaking to the Receptionist saying i'd booked my RS4 in for a check-up, only to have her say:
"What's an RS4?"
I suggested to the Manager, they might like to take her off the Front Desk.
About the only Audi Dealer I ever felt I got some service from was Camberley Audi, and in particular, Rob who dealt with the RS models...
I cant decide whether to go with KW springs and get some new OEM parts. I don't want to lower the car but if/when the shocks go, I hear good things about the KW setup...
