Anyone confirm the right oil as 5w-30 Shell Helix ? Plus seems to be few a variations too

Its what Audi specs, specialists always prefer to use 5w/40

It’s a 2008 Rs6 C6 V10

Mobil1 or Castrol... you cannot go much wrong with either. Just ensure that you have a litre or two on a side for top ups.

Thanks just I’ve min oil level sensor issue now twice never sure if it’s low oil or it’s the sensor

Check the oil looks fine error goes then comes back after while on long drive

The sensor can be a pain in some cars and fine in others but, as you've checked the oil and its fine, it looks like you've got one of the awkward ones. I think it's best to replace it just for piece of mind but that's your choice.

That dipstick is below the fill line which is why it's flagging probably

I'd estimate you're "down" about a litre or so

Keep it above middle line and you'll be just fine... if symptoms persist, replace the sensor at the next oil change.

I did just over 2.7k miles and was presented with service due message... is this common for RS6?

e.g. last 1300 miles were done on motorway in Europe and the car was serviced ~10months ago at a reputable Audi/VW specialist.

are you sure they reset it after the service?

service interval goes on how you drive it as well as time period but only 2.7k is awfully low for it to pop up

car was driven at higher speeds (Autobahn) but it still seems odd that only after 4.5k in total one needs a service.

It is going in anyway as I do like to change oils every 5-7k.

QQ - in terms of quantity, how much would actually be needed or could be drained from the engine as part of std routine? 6-8L...?
