No I didn't mean look for errors. You can run the diagnostics to monitor misfire value. I cant remember off the top of my head what the look up value is, possibly 170, 171, 172 on the output tests.
So its not the output tests its the measurement blocks tab, under engine 1 and 2.

i tried these values and nothing came up - will need to spend some time on Ross-Tech and find out which ones are related to BUH engine.

FYI - i did carbon clean, replaced spark plugs on mine and the car feels much more responsive now!

What did you use to carbon clean? I've just tried the misfire check on mine last night too, and wasn't convinced it was right, as on engine 1 ecu all result were 0, engine 2 ecu all different! The lookup values were 206, 207, 208 not what I originally said.

So I've concluded my original issue of loss of Full boost is definately the N249 valve. It must be mechanically sticking every now and then, as when I move it or play about with it it fixes the issue. I've yet to replace to replace it for good due to them being on back order. It would prevent the boost building low down the Rev range, most likely due to opening the bovs slightly.

I've since replaced the coil packs too, next difficult task is to replace the N75's that I've bought. Annoyingly this is a job that'd be much easier with the engine out. Something I don't want to really do myself!
