Excuse my ignorance and being a newbie but what’s the difference? 🙈

My car has he Miltek system and the drone at low speeds is quite horrible, I wondered if there was anything I can do to omit it ?

If it’s a non res system you have these res pipes would be the solution to cut the drone down.

How much difference was there in noise levels switching from res to non res? Thinking about swap it my supersprint res for a non res.

I have a non-res in mine and up to 40mph it is tad "noisy" (to a point that I will either need ear plugs or start wearing a helmet soon :) )... it does indeed have that amazing sound when on a proper run but tbh if used as everyday car it is borderline "tolerable".

thx to BOSE and occasional mega hit such as "Wheels on the bus..." our journeys are no short of fun.

I have just gone through the Miltek options. My MRC stage 2 car came with a non resonated cat back system and for me it was just too loud. I had a family trip to friends in holland and on the way home i just couldn't put up with the drone at 80mph. it was nice and quiet at 100 or at 60.. i ended up driving home in 5th as this was a little better. When i got home I ordered and fitted the resonated system, there is still a little drone at 80, but nothing to bad. it still pops on downshift and crackles on overrun.. so for me resonated is the way to go.

Is there any difference in performance or is it negligible ?

MRC told me that there is no difference in performance and mapping. The resonated pipe is the same diameter and straight through, but has perforations in the wall and a silence can. so from a back pressure point of view it must be almost identical.

That is a shame, not long ago I paid a shed load for the same. I have some non resonated pipes if anyone wants to buy them.. minimal use.
