I have to say the old universal tool would have done the job just fine (caliper left in situ levering old pads apart), but since I invested in the new tool Jim recommended it does make easier work of an already simple task. But I wouldnt pay more than 15 spondoolies on one if you are shopping for one. I have no doubts it will get further use now I have one ;)

I’d recommend sticking with stock pads on the rear. I fitted DS2500 and there slightly smaller than the factor pads and moved around in the caliper and I had excessive heat and dust for a good 1000miles.
