Any one know which bulbs ? And are the any other bulbs worth replacing ? As the front bumper has come off to replace them

Euro Car Parts surgest both D2S and D3S for dipped headlight bulbs

DID you find out xenon they require? i looked up on elsawin and they list D2S but others list D3S.

i guessed and went with D3S as someone suggested D2s for early and D3s for late (mines 2009)

i know that H7 are the fog lights.

I used D2S and H7 Osram Nightbraker - even though the reviews say they don’t last as long as Philips similar to Audi’s

"Trups" is a member on this forum who has an automotive lighting company which custom makes extremely high quality interior and exterior lighting for the RS6.

His most popular creation is a set of uprated headlights which, having got a set, I can honestly say are amazing (if they were rubbish I'd be honest and say that) and the options he has for how customised you want your headlights to be are extremely wide and varied. For example, I wanted mine to look virtually OEM but converted to Quad Xenon so you have 4 lights instead of 2. I had the current inner set of "fog lights" removed and a custom set of xenon lights added (original headlights vs Trups headlights) while others have gone to the other extreme and had black internal backgrounds, RS6 etched into the lens and "sweeping" indicators added etc.

Agree with Ian, the Trups headlight conversion is well worth doing, especially if doing a lot of night driving, makes a hell of a difference. Great work, professionally done and can be catered to budget too.

thanks - I haven't much luck getting in touch with Trups.

Can anyone advise or suggest what price/s to expect for an 'optimised' front headlamps on C6? and does he do mobile service or it needs lights posting/collecting from him etc.

Trups is out a lot but send him a DM and he'll reply when he can. Usually he needs the headlights sending to him (well packaged and protected) and his turn around can be about 10-14 days, depending what work you're having done. My setup was only available in left-hand drive as I had the more powerful G5 exl projectors but I would guess between 800 - 1200 quid for his quad setup.

The headlights do require some careful setup and adjustment and depending on where you live, Trups might be able to help with that. But I'll let him fill you in on all the details and prices. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.
