Steering wheel buttons and gear paddles not working

Has anyone else had the Steering wheel buttons and gear paddles stop working, im guessing muti function module is fritzed. Figured id ask if its common before i try to diagnose it next weekend.

Are the paddles morning freely? They can jam but this sounds different as everything is fried by the sounds of it.

yeah all free moving, at night the back lighting for them all flickers every so often so im assuming module.
