My boot has a pretty noisy rattle to it when I'm driving along our less than perfect roads. Having investigated a bit it seems to be the mechanism mounted in the car that's creating the problem. Anyone had the same problem and have any ideas if there's anything I can do about it? Seems like there's a fair bt of metal on metal contacting there which is the culprit.

It's an estate I assume ? You think it's the lock, is that what you mean ?

Sounds odd, could it be some rubber or perhaps a number plate issue ?

Yes - estate. It's the lock mechanism which seems to have quite a few metal on metal parts which may well just be worn and need replacing (as I suspect that's the culprit) but wondered if anyone else had the same issue.
