Legal advise needed

Going to consult a real qualified lawyer but i thought maybe the community wisdom can guide me with this one
Bought a low mileage, 58k, with a FSH V10 RS6 from a used car dealer in Glasgow. Signed for the car on the 28th of Oct and collected her on the 5th of November. All good for the 1st 4 weeks then when i was on my way to get a Ghost system fitted the car broke down, no lights on dash but just no start for the love of god or money. Got the car relayed to the local specialist for him to have a look at and he got back to me with the news that the loom needs replacing as the connectors and wires from the main loom to fuel pump show signs of corrosion have turned Black from overloading and have been "hacked into" and the main engine loom also shows signs of overloading and tampering.
I have been quoted in the region of 12k to replace both looms and the warranty company is saying no, as they do not cover wiring or connectors
I have to give the dealer an opportunity to repair the car and take it from there.
I traded in my old C5 RS6 and 8k in cash with 9k in finance. I notified the finance company this morning and they have logged the call but will not proceed with a complaint until the dealer has the opportunity to repair the car
