Tune2air device

Post by Pgj0hns0n » Mon Sep 18, 2017 8:04 pm

I've seen various threads on using these devices but it's not flashing blue when I connect it via the adapter cable.

Just updated the MMI to 5570 but it's still. It working. It's driving me bonkers as I stream everything.

Any help from anyone else whose encountered similar problems would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

We use this cable, sometimes it takes a few minutes to show up on the media options screen. Once I had to disconnect and reconnect it. Always flashes however. Not sure what your problem is though.

I tried it, everything you have done, apparently some cars it just doesn't work on. I sent mine back to amazon and got a refund.

One thing I've noticed is some of the wma3000a models have a USB-c port as well as the adapter lead. The version I have has the USB-c port but I've just ordered one that doesn't have the USB port. Not sure if there's a difference. I'll let you know if there's any change

Fair question but if I press any harder I'll push the socket in plug into through the housing lol

Update - got Bluetooth working!!!! So here’s what I tried that got me to a successful Bluetooth connection:

- upgraded MMI to 5570
- tried wma3000a tune2air (with Audi adapter joined to it) - didn’t work
- tried a genuine 30pin Audi adapter to an old iPhone 5 - able to stream music through the MMI
- purchased BOVEE wma1000 Bluetooth adapter
- connects wma1000 to 30pin adapter lead - success!

Bluetooth started to flash - iphone7 instantly connected to the device - now can stream to MMI!

RESULT

The cable connection I have does not flash. It stays lit blue all the time. Works fine.

On my old 2010 RS6 I used AMI to Apple 30-pin lead (some £10 one off Amazon, not OEM), then Tune2Air, worked perfectly every time
