Wanting to go back to Audi and something quick but practical. I used to have a Audi 8p S3 Sportback with Revo Stage 2+, KW 3 coilovers, H&R Anti roll bars, BBK 19" Alloys and all the options apart from the buckets:





Didn't want to sell it but I was starting to do lots and lots of commuting so changed to a Golf MK5 GT TDI for a while and then started managing our estate up North so bought a Nissan Navara.

Anyhow, things have changed now and I'm keeping more local and have bought a van as have been developing property for a while now.

Im on the lookout for a RS6 C6 with a top budget of £22,000. Found a few for around that price with around 70K on the clock. Just wondering what I should be looking for regarding buying one. I know the running costs will be a lot but Im happy with that.

I would go for a RS4 B7 but as always I will want more power and a simple remap wouldn't do much on it. Plus I have a Black Labrador now who has just been for stud so I get pick of the litter mid August so need something with a large boot:

PS, would prefer either the RS4 or RS6 to be in Sepang Blue!

C6 straight line rocket, but lacking feedback and a heavy beast. Scrubbing the required speed off for corners will be harsh on the brakes and tyres.

B7, get a good one with a stage 2 MRC map and it's a pretty quick car. More raw, great steering, small enough to chuck about and handles well out of the box. Supercharger option on top of course but you'd be looking at c.£11k investment on top of the car purchase. Great winding an N/A car out though.

Both good cars, depends what will float your boat and keep you interested for the longest though.

If the colour is a deal breaker then it's not a B7! It wasn't available in that colour. There was a car repainted in it (supercharged) but it's a saloon.

Sprint blue is the closest, or a one off Nogaro blue one is for sale now. I'll post a link up to it.

Cheers guys. Good advice there. If I went for the RS4 it would give me some more money to play with after also regarding remaps etc.

Whats the boot space like in the RS4? Just thinking about the dogs!

Sepang blue isn't a deal breaker at all, just a preference.

Also, whats the audio system like in the RS4 B7? Is it similar to the RNS-e I had in the S3 or did they do a better model with MMI?

Also, what about the RS3 8P with a remap? I think the boot might be a tad on the small size though?

C6 all day long. Nothing else compares.

Both boots will be big enough.

I own C6 sepang blue best replacement for M3 when u have a family - agree MRC Tuning was worth it too - down falls is fuel and brakes - watch out for Oil Seals - coolant lines issues
