Not directly from AP but you can get the same AP discs done "how you like" inc J-Hooks etc from BG Developments in Coventry who do a lot of AP Racings custom stuff, however the cost may vary from factory due to the extra work needed.

My AP Discs are on, slight issue with the rear which seem to be sticking a bit as they are getting hotter than the fronts. Hopefully that will be sorted tomorrow. HEL hoses, DS2500 pads and new colour coded back plates fitted too.

Nice. I suppose you probably won't feel much of a difference until you take the car out for an enthusiastic drive.

Just ordered some DS2500 too from Clark Motorsport - from reading above do you have change the brake fluid and hoses to work with the AP's

Hoses i'd say yes, the old ones are going to be in a bad way and the HEL look like they are designed with that in mind. Brake fluid was done last year at Unit20 so i'll replace it again with upgraded fluid next year. I also fitted the RS7 caliper plates at the rear, didnt use the factory fitting kit that requires drilling a 10mm hole, imdidn't feel comfortable with it and its effect on the strength of the caliper. The garage felt the same way also so i used stainless cap heads and a 3mm taped hole instead.

It's not strictly necessary but it is highly recommended to get the best possible performance. I would say time/cost-wise, replacing the fluid with an uprated one is the higher priority of the two TBH.

Where's the best place to get the rear ds2500 pads from?

I can see them on eBay for £119.

Any other recommendations before I buy these?

I've bought standard discs and hel hoses. Just the pads and fluid to get now.

Out of interest, what is the minimum width of the front discs necessitating replacement?

34.4mm? & 26mm for rears?

Trying to figure out if I need new front discs as well as pads, and whether this is an opportunity to go "big"?

Need to change discs and pads on my 2009 RS6.
I see prices are horrible on original discs (390x36mm)
But I found out that c6 S6 (5.2 v10) discs is waaay cheaper. They are 385x36mm, so that souldnt matter, right? As long as they are identical in mounting core (sideways fit in the calipper? Anyone can confirm this right or wrong? Fits or not?

Euro Car Parts stock Pagid front discs. Same as Audi orginal. With discount code applied there pretty cheap.

Pads wise id go for Ferodo ds2500 and some decent fluid along with braided hoses.
