C6 values seem quite strong or am I missing something? £29k will get you a 59/2010 with 53k miles saloon. That £29k will get you a 2012/13 M5 BMW from a dealer. My man maths says the C6 should therefore depreciate slower than the M5 bought for the same money going forwards.

Howmanyleft.co.uk reckons there are 243 V10 RS6s in the UK
1500 out of 8000 RS6s Audi produced are saloon
Making the assumption that this ratio is equal across different markets, that puts UK saloon count at sub 50
Difficult to find something this modern, reliable, "cheap" to also be so rare from a major manufacturer (and it's not some silly "special model" with privacy glass and an extra 25 bhp compared to base car). That's always going to count for something when it comes to residuals.

That 29k saloon is my old car so you also get 775bhp and 'ramics

The retail price for a low mileage example like mine is basically the same as i payed for it nearly two years ago. Originally that was going to be the deposit on a C7!

...The problem seems to be when they get a big leggy on the mileage (70k+) then they drop off a cliff into lowish £20ks bracket. I contacted Audi about your old one Andy, but they told me there is no extended warranty on its current reg OV59 XXX.

We I bartered a £26K Avant with 64k miles on the clock and managed to get it for £24k. Does this mean I'm good for a couple of years before depreciation? or when it hits the 70k mark? either way I'm smitten

The more I drive mine the more I love it. While the depreciation is a factor it's nothing like the hit you'd take owning a C7 RS6 combined with it being relatively cheap so no problems owning outright so no interest on finance to add to any depreciation. I plan to just run mine, enjoy it, it'll gain whatever miles it gains, eat as much fuel and sets of tyres as my right foot dictates and eventually we'll all end up driving soulless electric rubbish and be glad we took the opportunities to own proper cars without worrying while they were there.

I read somewhere that Saloons worth more than the Vans. There seems to be the opposite view on here. Does anyone know for sure ? Personally I much prefer the 4 door version. It's faster and rarer. I've had loads of people tell me how rare the Saloon V10 is when they walk over to chat about it.

There are couple of nice looking black C6's on auto trader at the moment. Probably a good time to get a deal also I would imagine as summer is almost finished.
