Ha, I had mine done at the beginning when I bought her so completely missed it. It was powder coated matt but I think satin or even gloss may look better as the matt paint disappears thanks to the rear diffuser in my opinion.

The Milltek back-boxes are so shiney that, because they drop down so much, they really stand out when viewing the rear of the car so blacking them out is a great idea, plus already having the black tips means it doesn't look odd either, good job!

Did the new knob fit on the shaft OK?

it fitted perfectly in the end. After heating up the plastic rod and twisting it the required 90 degrees I didn't notice that it was slightly leaned back. So when the new knob was pushed on and the button pushed it failed to engage in the slot. So I had to reset the button twice :bash:
Once I figured out that the plastic rod was the issue and straightened it the rest of the job was easy. I would say 15 minutes start to finish

That's a good option with the Milltek. I hated the big oval rear boxes that hang down but also the sound was just not right either too boomy or too quiet.
