Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
Whether it's a Plus or not doesn't bother me, but I defo want a facelift, which does seriously limit choices other than Pluses as most facelifts appear to be saloons due to the way Audi UK brought them in.....

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
I didn't word it very well, which didn't help. I figured that was Golfather's black car and was pretty sure the other must be Amar's, as I thought I recognised the dolphin grey car's plate. Have known him since his S8 and C5 RS6 Plus days.
Well, we made it over to see the car today. However you cut it, it's not worth top money even for the miles and model. If it'd been as mint as a minty thing maybe £35-36 tops for the spec (if we weren't fussed about facelift there's a lightly specced but 18k miles one on AT at £38k asking), but the paintwork isn't great. I do suspect the Bramley images above have a photo Shop filter on them but even so it wasn't what I'd expected. Not bad for chips but there's a ding in the driver's door just under the window and every door has been opened onto brickwork and taken the paint off. Quite a few general marks around the car, but the prep on the car to date appears to have been a cheap layer of polish - quite a lot of which was still visible around the edge of every panel. Can't really judge how good it could be with a proper machine polish as the car was parked out wet on arrival.
Interior was in good order. I didn't test all the widgets but noticed soft close was bust on the drivers door.
Tyres are all about 3mm tread Pirellis and struggled badly with tramlining and damp conditions as a result - I'm used to running 20s as both current cars have them. These need changing. Couple of chips on the wheels but don't need a refurb yet.
There's stamps in the service book (all audi) but no paperwork. Car has routinely gone over 2 years between oil changes although typically 10k mile intervals. Next service due in 4500 miles but plugs due now. There's paperwork in the folder that suggests they've paid £31.5k for it, but some of that could be part-ex value loading against whatever he bought next.
We've left details of the Sportback to see what they offer trade in out of interest but I'd need to see what they were prepared to move by on price AND what work they'd do. I suspect we won't meet in the middle....
It sounded great and from the limited opportunity to extend it with 3 adults and a 6 yr old in the car it goes as well as I was expecting - definitely keen on one BUT I can't help thinking that at these sorts of prices a c7 S6 makes more sense. There's 2 yr old ones with oodles of spec at less than £40k. Anyone tried one in comparison?
Will sleep on it and see if I feel the same tomorrow.
@rtd - where was the one you mention advertised, for reference?

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
C7 S6 is bland. Blends in with the TDI brigade and unless its a facelift, looks real dull.
Needs some serious mods to get it 1) to go 2) to look half decent.
I would have "upgraded" ages ago, but an RS will always be an RS..

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
I'll finish this off in case anyone finds reference to this and is looking at this car - current plate is BJ60KZV
Haven't been able to speak to the dealer, so eventually e-mailed saying it wasn't for us given the bodywork condition and general presentation of the car, but offering to give some feedback on what I thought, if he wanted it. No call yet.
If you wanted a daily drive and weren't worried about the odd mark, it'd be fine with a set of new boots, plug change and anything else overdue on servicing, at somewhere considerably South of its current price. If you want one to cherish it'll never fit that bill unless the dealer was prepared to have it machine polished to see how much of the bodywork could be saved without paint.

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?
Good decision. Price is high even if it was mint, no faults, no scratches, decent tyres, had FASH etc, price sounds like an absolute piss take as it stands!
