Ok so went to clean off some bugs whilst sitting in traffic - and the right wiper/arm basically just went limp and the left one went straight over it and it's dropped down - any ideas?

Oh FFS dude, burn that damn car, burn it now!!!!!!

Sounds like the right wiper spindle has broken/stripped/come loose (the bit that holds the arm to the motor). Where the nut (9) holds the wiper arm to the horizontal shaft in the pic -
