Hi guys anyone ever had an issue with the flappy paddles on the steering wheel , my up shift paddle has gone very firm it does work but doesn't feel right

Does anyone know if they are fixable with a new part or just needs cleaning out ? don't want to get into a new wheel if I can help it !

I know this is going to sound stupid but please believe me this is the actual fix for this - you need to push the paddle forwards towards the windscreen very slowly but with a lot of pressure until it *snaps* forward, release the pressure then pull it backwards like a normal gear change to reset it's position.

There''s a tiny tab of plastic on the internal mechanism of the paddles that sometimes gets caught causing the paddle to jam up. Pushing the paddle forward releases this little tab and allows the paddle to be reset. Once it's starts jamming it usually continues jamming on and off for a short while until the little tab becomes so worn it'll not jam again.

Like I said, it sounds "brutal" but it's the fix.

Just remember it feels like it takes a *lot* of pressure for it to snap forward the first time but once you done a few times it's actually quite easy.
