Meth tank location

Got my water methanol kit now but wanted thoughts on tank location?
Destructions dictate that it should be in the boot due to flammable properties. As I live in Dubai I get that but have seen posts on here where others are using the washer bottle in the engine bay..
I like the idea of the washer function appearing on the dash as additional warning when running low
Expert opinions please....any bad experiences you know of ?
