Hi ,do the C7 discs fit the C6?

Short answer - No, they are not a direct fit but you could mod them to fit.

Info taken from another I put this in -

Fronts - The Hat Height is different

C6 - 59.5mm
C7 - 53.5mm

So you'd have to fit 6mm spacers to the calipers to fit the C7 discs.

Rears - I've not got any info for C7 rear Disc height but C6 is 42.5mm ***however*** the C7 discs are 22mm thick vs 28mm for the C6.

Cheers Ian,im not adding spacers so i will just have to get the C6 discs,just love the look of the C7 discs and they are cheaper,OEM Audi best?

No be honest I found the OEM discs/pads to be "good enough" only for normal driving with the odd short B-road blast but I found the 2-Piece AP Racing setup (£800 so virtually same price as C6 OEM) to be much better and they could cope with everything I've done so far inc a trackday. I also found that the Ferodo DS2500 pads were much better than stock too and were, again about OEM price unsurprisingly

One advantage of the AP setup is that, once you've bought them, when it come time to replace the rotors it's only £600 for a set so even cheaper than OEM.

You need these part numbers -

2x CP8080Z240 - Bells
1x CP8080Z24CG12 - Right Disc
1x CP8080Z25CG12 - Left Disc

The bells need fitting to the discs (all parts supplied) and you need a 6NM Torque wrench & an E12 Star Socket (maybe E10) but its very simple and only takes about 15 minutes per disc.

So you space out the bolt with a 6mm washer if you will, interesting to know as they are cheaper than c6 items !

Well, you dont space out the bolt. You space out the calipper mounting to center the calipper on the the discs. The C7 discs have a 6mm diffrent offset.

Basically where the bolt goes through the calliper mounting bracket on the hub you put a longer bolt and a 6mm spacer this move the calliper further out to take up the offset of the difference in the bell (i had to use 10mm titanium spacers when i ran my Tarox 16's)

Just remember to use longer bolts as the stock ones will have 6mm less thread available once you add a spacer which may not be enough for a secure fit!
