MRC said they fit but the rubber compound was softer than OEM so I went with Lemforder in the end.

A cleaned up hole with lots of lube usually gets me into the bottom bush :D

BamBam style jokes aside, if the hole is cleaned up and lubed slightly would a C-clamp have enough force/torque to press the bush?

A decent quality screw drive hose clip to compress the end of bush often helps. And as mentioned, lubrication.

I'm really sorry but to me that combination of colours makes it look like you've fitted a kit from the Early Learning Centre.

the ELC suspension is now complete
- having the alignment checked. but car feels much more taught.
DIY fitting is not for the faint hearted but IMHO a definite improvement over the rubber bushes

I wish I had the facility to do all that at my place - that's a big old job! I'm still waiting to get time to get the ARB's on. Good work.

Just bought a full front Meyle HD kit from eBay for around £330.

There are two bits which are supposed to be RS6 specific (track-rod ends and rear lower arm) however the two Meyle replacement parts in the kit are NOT RS6 specific and you can't buy the specific parts from Meyle as they don't stock them.

Just to take the mick, Audi want over £400 for the two track-rods and 2 rear lower arms and the whole "kit" would be about £1300 vs Meyles £330!

So did it work? The tie rods fit good?

IIRC I bought the Audi (lemforder OEM) parts as I believe (maybe wrong) that although the Meyle parts do fit the rubber used is of a lesser strength/rating compared to the Audi parts, which would make sense as those Meyle parts are the same number for A6 to RS6.

However that was over 2 and half years ago so I've no idea what the kit currently has or the spec of the materials in it.
