Possibly? Saw 200mph on the EIS digital speedo (so 190+ genuine) and kept going for another 15-20 seconds without looking down again (unlit Autobahn at night so too scared :D) so I'd say that must be close? However without GPS/Photos/Videos etc it's just guess work from me.

Considering how close I live to a EuroTunnel station it'd be a shame not to pop back across and get on the Autobahn again, maybe include a Ring Trip this time too.

Autobahn, afternoon, weekday. Been there, done that, got the tshirt.

But for me it's not about the speed but the acceleration.

I'm looking at VMax 200. Just waiting for the dates for 2016. Would there not be enough interest for this forum to book Bruntingthorpe for a day so we can all have a go at 200mph in a relative safe environment What do you think 246 ????

A stage 2 car may not crack 200 at bruntingthorpe. I think the average is high 190's during VMax events from what I've seen (over 200 shown on the speedo).

Is that due to lack of runway to achieve 200mph or stage 2 just not enough ????

190MPH on the clock and squeezed 193MPH but had to put the phone down. Not GPS'd but hey not bad for a 7 year old RS4 B7.
Real speed I'd say 187mph.

Lack of runway I'd imagine. 200 mph is 88.88 meter per second....

Bunters isn't long enough, a stage 2 will do over 200mph no problems it just takes a little longer than 1.5 miles.

Thanks for the info. Is there a long enough runway in the UK to achieve 200mph Dont want to go all the way to Germany just for that.

De m6 Tollen I've heard is a nice test road :D

There's no "available" UK runway long enough but there are several which would be if you were allowed access, Heathrow being the longest being 1km longer than Brunters.

To be fair even at Brunters most stage 2 cars are only 3-7mph off so just a few extra seconds could make the difference.

Why you'd consider doing anything like that speed on a UK motorway I don't know. That's jail time and there's plenty of filth around to pinch you.
