Remap - Audi Warranty

Evening All,
I've been lurking around on this forum for some time trying to learn about common problems etc. Its good to see that the car seems pretty bullet proof and that owners don't report too many problems.
One question I have is If I got an RS6 I would like to make a few subtle changes lowering springs, remap, exhaust, wheels etc but I also want to run Audi warranty. I understand it is at my own risk with voiding the warranty but I do this on my current car and have no problems at all. I know a few of you are remapped

, are there any you that run Audi warranty with this? and have you had any problems if you have had to make a claim? Can the remap be detected?
Cheers

All my issues were before I got it mapped.
Got them all sorted then mapped it.
No issues when mapped....BUT yes I'd suggest It can be detected and Audi will just show you the door..
BUT I suppose it depends what the fault is and how "friendly" you are with your mastertech/service manager!!!....

Thanks for the reply Chris.
There's one ive seen around but its mapped so guess if I decide to then it will just be pot luck

Like you said I think it will all come down to what the problem would be. To take out Audi extended warranty will they want to inspect it first or just answer questions on the phone and that's it like BMW extended warranty?

No need to checkthecar, but you can't make a claim for the first 30 days. They do ask that it has a full audi service history.
And regarding remap it depends,my oil sensor and separator were leaking, audi replaced under warranty, 1300 quid and they knew it was remapped but they can't prove the remap caused the leak.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like it is exactly the same as the BMW Extended warranty I have except with Audi you don't seem to have the pay monthly option which is not the end of the world.

Very nice. Indianapolis Red the same as mine underneath the wrap. I recognise this car, did you buy this just before Christmas?
Seems you've had a few RS Audi's, how's this compare with the RS6 & RS5?
