C6 suspension options

Hi guys,

So... I want to get the c6 more planted. I don't really want to go the whole route of ripping the DRC out though as I like the ability to change the settings on route. Not even that fussed with the understeer; it's pretty predictable Id just like it to happen later :)

Id really like some feedback on any options people have either tried or just considered. How ever loopy they maybe. I could just put more power in the 996 with a decent amount of tuning; but I love the anonymous nature of Bobbi the Beast instead!

Blisten do have a variable controller on the pss9! I don't believe it's compatible with the MMI though. Also it's bloody expensive! But Id consider it if possible but would rather keep the DRC.

Then there's updated springs on the standard DRC. A lower ride height would be good thing but not that fussed. The sport mode is not really usable as it causes the body to bounce and suck the wheels off the floor! Would springs make this better?

Now my off the wall idea! If we can tune the engine and tune the gearbox, why not tune the DRC! I'm wondering if it's possible to change the diaphragm (guessing it's a variable hole?) to alter how compliant sport mode is and soften it off a little?

Also, what about the bushes, poly bushes would help with feel, but would it be noisey? Sometimes they squeak!

ARBs, uprate them?

Thoughts please guys :)

Alex

Hmmm, that's a tough one. I don't run a C6, I might do soon but I wouldn't be touching the DRC. However, if I were to do the C5 suspension again I'd spend good time getting it right. I would use AST suspension to do the tuning. They were painstakingly patient in getting the B5s handing well, admittedly not the C6 but their type of commitment would be what I'd seek out.

They're in Holland!

Thankfully they're also in Chelmsford which isn't that far. I'll get in touch with them and have a chat.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I looked at these last night! What's the changes? They do look good and they're a good price. Would have funning them too?

Difference is the feeling. It totally transforms the handling. Seriously.

Some stickier tyres might be enough, maybe not something as extreme as 888 but AD08R or similar?

I have the kw's in my garage ready to go on so can comment once they go on. DRC is being checked at audi on the 12th before to check all is ok.

Be good to see more reports on spring changes

Always find comfort to wobbly, dynamic wobbly and crashy and sport Jesus unless on new track surface its mad
I know the above is dampers but spring rates should help wobbly ness

Unless my drc needs checking ?

Bit lower would be cool too

Cheers Adam
