Re: Weight reduction - C6 RS6
I like your thinking of the rads and coolers, how would you feed them though? Just ducting or side feeds?

7 years later...
I'm thinking about buying second C6 and fully strip it down for track days. They could be bought for about 18k eur more or less.
Probably replace parts (or eventually all) of chassis with tubes. I would sell parts I don't need and make up for some of the invested money.
Move coolers to back of the car. Use air to water intercoolers with G30 770. Power around 1000 - 1100bhp and 1100 - 1150Nm. Gearbox should be less stressed due to lower weight. Anyway I would try to get facelift version with uprated gearbox. Standard steel brakes (390mm) with racing pads should be enough. Wider tires (used slicks) around 325. Upgrade sway bars and bushings. I don't know how much room there is for camber adjustment. Again due to lower weight, spring stiffness should be ok for track.
If the weight goes down to around 1200 - 1300kg (and able to go around corners) this would be as close as possible (for this kind of money) to F1/F2 car regarding power to weight ratio.

Re: Weight reduction - C6 RS6
I bought second RS6 almost a year ago but didn't start stripping it down. Don't have room in my garage - have to get rid of Focus ST which I just recently finished modifying.
Re: Weight reduction - C6 RS6
Hello Ahmed,
I am currently preparing my RS6 (also Daytona Grey) for track time.
At the moment we are trying to establish rim size, as we want to move down from the 20" to 18". custom light weight racing alloys.
The size we have seen is 18x9 with a 29 offset. We are wanting to see if the car can take 18x10 - to get more rubber on the road.
Can I ask what you have done with yours for rim size, or have you left them standard?
