Forum followers will have seen my dalliance in trying to buy a RS6 C7 and the utter Audi UK failure. They will also remember I placed and order for a Tesla S "D" (the AWD silly performance due for delivery at best in July 2015, however probably some time between Sept and Dec is more realistic). After checking out a second hand S for a fill In I called into Tesla to check some things and discovered they are refreshing all their demonstrators and marketing cars, so bought a silly high spec one for a good chunk of change off list. As this car is available within the next few weeks .. my RS6 is defiantly 100% now up for sale - as well as posting here I have some work colleagues interested and will also call Audi Basingstoke as they where interested

Spec :
Sepang Blue Avant with Silver Silk Nappa interior, one of the rare Facelifted ones with 3G MMI.

Not going to list the standard features (go read viewtopic.php?f=47&t=97203) - there are loads of pics of it on the forum too and also its complete and unhidden history for the 5 years I have owned it since new

Options :
Piano Black Inlays
Advanced parking
7 Spoke Rims
Headlining in Silver
Electronically adjustable Steering column
Cobra Track 5 system

Running stock .. Fully service history with Reading and Camberley.

Serviced at Camberley and MOT'd in April 2014 at 42K . Now has just under (as in JUST UNDER) 50K on the clock.

New pads all round and front disks at service, also AC Serviced and 4 new Goodyear tyres at same time.

Car detailed by Valet Magic in May (as it has been every year), all rims refurbed as well

Number plate (RS06 TOY) IS included

There is also a set of winter tyres on the "Normal" 5 spoke rims available too. Tyres have done sub 2K miles for one winter season (2013) - Audi price was 3500 for the set - Audi 9J x 20 ET38 Rims + Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D 265/35 ZR20 99V XL tyres

best G

PS also once gone we will need to have some one else host the sales brochures pdf's for the C6

That's a really clean car, it's sad we're loosing you to Tesla. I'd love to try one, what's the interior quality, fit and finish like on them? Is it typical American quality or worthy of the price tag? Interested to hear your thoughts once you've lived with it. Is the current one still on order I take it, and the demo a stop gap?

Errrrr...you might want to click on that link and re-acquaint yourself with them

Anyway, lovely car. The 7 spoke alloys are a nice change from the 5 spoke peelers. As already mentioned, have you got a price?

Agree very nice example with a very helpful informative owner to relative new owners like myself.

If 7 spokes are a nice change to 5's why can't I sell mine ??????

I have to admit that they are not teh average US car .. not quite Merc / Audi quality inside, maybe a high spec VW feel to them .. most of the interior parts are from Merc, so the switches etc feel good.. The "D" is still on order and as suspected this is stop gap .. Tesla say July 2015 for D's however like Audi there seems to be Tesla dates and Calendar dates .. so I am expecting it to be Sept / Oct 2015 .. hence stop gap

Hi G,

Your RS6 is a beautiful car and credit to your ownership

Sorry to see you go. And thanks for all the input to the forum.

I also decided to change up from the RS6 or move sideways to another member of the ahem, 'Audi family'.

I did this but didn't have the heart to sell the RS6 so kept it.

As an idea of how great the RS6 is and what a 'sleeper' it is, for a while the RS6 was faster than the 'other Audi', so had to add twin turbos to the 'other Audi' 5.2 litre FSI engine, very similar to the C6 RS6 engine, to get ahead of the RS6. Now achieved, just

Look forward to review of your driving experience with the Tesla.

I reckon a Tesla is a very good car for sneaking up on pedestrians- mobile speed humps, if you haven't got the car stereo on :)

cheers,
john

Not too shabby for 5 years old .... Washed the barge today ready for a few quotes tomorrow (couple of dealerships interested at 26K GBP)

Forgive the messy garage, it got dark so had to dry / finish her off in the garage.. also just some snaps on the phone not a proper camera / lighting

Car has now been sold.

Driving home from West London Audi after agreeing a price I was musing that this car was probably the best car I have ever owned, firstly the RS6 C6 is simply one of the best cars ever produced, secondly I was reflecting how little the car has cost me over 5 years of ownership ie apart from servicing, tyres and brake pads / front disks the only failure I had was a sticking headlight washer.. To be honest I am so going to miss this car. I wish the new owner (who ever that becomes) the absolute best and hope they have as much fun and drive as many safe miles as I have had.

Over the 5 years being here at RS246 I got to know a bunch of fellow C6 owners and I'd like to thank them all for the internet friendship that we all had and the fun we had "bashing" Audi :audibash: . As of Friday I'll not be a Audi RS owner, however will still stop by this forum every so often to make sure your all behaving :beerchug:

I have a few Accessories which I'll post in another post for sale (ie the winter tyres / rims : Outdoor car cover etc)

Many thanks Guys
