Hi, Did you change that shifter yourself? Is it a direct replacement of the old one? Been lurking for this mod but didn't know if it's possible to switch. Thanks!

Hi.
That mod is not easy, it requires a lot of work and. If done incorrectly can snap the shifter leaving you with a £600 bill. The shifter from audi is about £145, then another £150 odd to let a retro fitter fit it.
I think it brings the car bang upto date as the oem knob where in the b5 a4's and that was about 20 years ago.
Well worth it IMO.
